Geodynamics WorldWide carried out a third survey for Falcon Petroleum in Ethiopia. This survey aims at a depth calculation analysis of micro-events in a hydrocarbon potential area previously identified by the first passive seismic survey in 2011, confirmed by the second passive seismic survey in 2012 and other G&G information in client’s possession. Seepages are present at both locations, Were Ilu and Kon Abo. The data acquisition is set for 7 continuous days (7 x 24h) first at Were Ilu and subsequently at Kon Abo. The special extension of each target is 100 km2.
After the delivery of its micro-seismic results, Geodynamics Worldwide was contracted to perform an integration report to adjust the velocity model available to the client. For this integration report Geodynamics Worldwide combined the micro seismic tomography, the existing velocity model and the sub-basalt gravity and magnetic data.
