Geodynamics WorldWide conducted a second survey for Falcon Petroleum Ltd in Ethiopia. While the first survey in 2011 was carried out only over Were Ilu, the target area for this second survey was extended over Were Ilu (AB1) and Kon Abo (AB4), where the client holds their oil exploration concessions. Further, the survey was comprised of passive seismic spectroscopy and surface geochemical sampling. The target is situated 3500 m above sea level and the landscape, dominated by 900-meter-deep canyons, presented some difficulties and a total of 132 data points for passive seismic and 198 geochem samples were acquired, covering 130 km2 over Were Ilu and 430 km2 over Kon Abo at various spacing grids. Geodynamics WorldWide provided separately to Falcon Petroleum an Integration Report of the passive seismic results, geochemical anomalies and the gravity data available to the client.
